Default Polycom VBP and mapping e164 to individual IP addresses

Hi forum,

anyone know if you can map e164 to individual IPs on a VBP external interface? I have he default alias pointing at our bridge from the internet, but I am finding giving 3rd party uses complex dialing instructions for IP calls difficult to manage

I'd rather map a meeting room to an IP, and just give the IP

Anyone done this?

Thanks

I'm not sure I follow the gist of your question? If your internal endpoints are registered to the VBPs gatekeeper or resolvable by the VBP on another gatekeeper, then people just dial (internal E.164)@(VBP external IP) and they will connect to you internal endpoint?

Absolutely right, but for bigger events I can just provide an IP address - I have had laborious issues with users not entering correct dial string, and out VC support crew not relaying the correct information.
