Duties and responsibilities:
� Work with cross functional teams including Network team, System team, Voice dept, and other UN organizations and locations, may also include external vendors, partners or contractors.
� Prepare detailed project plans and be responsible for managing the plan. This responsibility includes: establishing the scope, creating the baseline and schedule, and managing each individual task and deliverable. Ensuring and tracking the completion of project deliverables such as requirements, release notes, documentation, etc. Track and communicate planned versus actual date delivered and, identify, manage and resolve project dependencies.
� The person will also be the technical focal point for advice on IP video technologies, and provides L3 technical support in resolving voice/video incidents and also provides consultancy advice to other IT Infrastructure specialists. He/she maintains strong links with industry service providers with respect to video technologies and services and works closely with other IT colleagues, to share knowledge relating to voice/video technologies and services.
� Five (5) or more years experience in supporting and troubleshooting technology surrounding video conferencing (preferably with Cisco and Tandberg systems and products) including room/desktop systems, MCU�s, Gateways, and Gatekeepers;
University Degree required (or equivalent experience), preferably in computer science or information systems with 4 plus years of experience in design and support services;
� Demonstrated experience in managing large scale IT projects, preferably PMP certified;
� Solid understanding of H.323 and H.320 networks;
� Knowledge of videoconferencing standards including (but not limited to) H.261, H.263, H.264, G.711, G.722, G.728, H.242, H.243, H.248, H.450, H.239;
� Experience in design, development and installation of Gateway, Gatekeepers and Bridges (MCU);
� Intelligent delivery of select network applications (Streaming media, IP Video Conferencing, Market Data). Bandwidth management and controlled user subscription;
� Experience with audio and video in an integrated video/audio conferencing environment;
� Working knowledge of Unified Messaging, Interactive Voice Response, Automatic Call Distribution, Automated Attendant, Active Directory;
� Design, implementation and troubleshooting of the following technologies:
o IPVC (IP Video Conferencing)
o VoIP (Voice Over IP)
o large scale dial plan structure
o QoS (Quality of Service)
o Web collaboration and streaming Video
o Routing & Switching
o ISDN, frame-relay, and satellite links
o PBX and IP video gateways
o Rich Media Web Collaboration
o Network Management
o LAN/WAN Connectivity (appropriate speed)
� Documentation skills
� Strong verbal and written skills.
