Default RMX 2000 Control Card

We have RMX 2000/720 with software 4.2 and no hardware upgrades and no maintenance contract with Polycom.
We are starting to have problem when booting that the hardware will not always boot the 1st time.
Can anyone help us with the below questions:

1. Does anyone have any experience replacing the hard drive in an RMX 2000?
2. Does anyone every tried to mirror/coping an hard drive from an RMX 2000?
3. Does anyone know of vendor that may have and used RMX 2000 board? We have already tried Vuports and Videoconferencestore.
4. Also anyone have any info on an good RMX 2000 engineer/consultant

Help help would be appreciated

Surely it will be easier and simpler to get a maintenance contract for the RMX. If it is business critical, it should be a no brainer.

Yep. Get a maintenance contract. Then your covered. It may cost you 25% of the cost of your RMX, but better than paying 100% for a new one. Also with a maintenance contract you might be able to get new cards for free when you upgrade.

As far as a good RMX person, Polycom keeps that information very close. RMX engineers are in Israel and the good ones located state side are in Tier 3/4 support and probably not allowed to discuss various "methods" of recovery and design as that information is probably covered under a non disclosure agreement of some kind.
